Forged anchor bolts fix machinery and structures to concrete foundations in L, J, plate and sleeve types, from M12 to M64 in lengths up to 1,000 mm. Because they cannot be re-coated after installation, hot dip galvanising or stainless construction is normally specified.

Types and Embedment
L-type and J-type bolts rely on a hooked end embedded in concrete. Plate-type bolts use a welded or forged plate for higher pull-out capacity. The embedded end develops the holding force; the exposed thread only transfers it.

Corrosion Protection Is Permanent
The exposed thread sits at the concrete interface where moisture collects, and it can never be re-coated once installed. Hot dip galvanising is the usual answer, with stainless where the environment is genuinely aggressive.
