Forged Railway Components

Railway components carry enormous loads under continuous vibration, and their inspection intervals are measured in years. Forging is specified across the sector because it delivers the predictable fatigue behaviour that maintenance planning depends on.

01

The Railway Duty Cycle

Millions of load cycles, wide temperature swings, corrosion exposure and long service intervals between inspections. Every one of those factors favours a forged part with continuous grain flow and no internal defects.

  • Millions of fatigue cycles
  • Long inspection intervals
  • Full material traceability
  • NDT on safety-critical parts
02

Component Types

Coupling and draft gear parts, brake rigging levers and pins, suspension hanger links, buffer components, and heavy fasteners — supplied to railway drawings with the documentation the sector requires.

03

Documentation and Approvals

Material certificates, heat treatment records, NDT reports and dimensional layouts are prepared per batch. Third-party and railway inspectorate witnessing is accommodated at our works.
