Forged Hydraulic Components

Hydraulic systems run at pressures where a porous component simply weeps. Forged rods, caps and manifold bodies deliver the density that keeps a 250-bar circuit dry over thousands of cycles.

Rod Diameter
20 mm – 200 mm
Rod Length
Up to 2,000 mm
Materials
EN8, EN19, CK45, 42CrMo4
Surface Hardness
Induction hardened, ground
Components
Rods, caps, glands, manifolds

01

Pressure Density in Manifold Bodies

A manifold block is drilled with intersecting galleries; any porosity between two of them becomes an internal cross-leak that is almost impossible to diagnose in the field. Forged stock eliminates that failure mode entirely.

  • No inter-gallery porosity
  • Uniform properties through section
  • Clean drilling and tapping
  • Pressure tested where specified
02

Cylinder Rods and Surface Duty

Rods are forged, induction hardened, ground and, where required, hard chrome plated. Straightness and surface finish are what determine seal life, so both are verified before plating rather than after.

03

End Caps and Gland Nuts

Thread strength and seal groove accuracy govern whether a cylinder holds pressure. Threads are gauge verified and grooves machined to the seal manufacturer's dimensional and finish specification.

FAQ

Questions Answered

Do you chrome plate cylinder rods?

+

Grinding is done in-house; hard chrome plating is completed through qualified partner processors with certificates supplied.

Are manifold blocks pressure tested?

+

Yes, where the customer specifies, with test pressure and duration recorded on the report.

What rod sizes do you cover?

+

20 mm to 200 mm diameter and up to 2,000 mm length.

Can you machine seal grooves to a seal maker's spec?

+

Yes, groove dimensions and surface finish are machined to the seal manufacturer's data sheet.
